Thinking scientifically about everyday stuff like ice and how to make it melt faster or slower is a great way to find out about how things work. Ice has very interesting properties. It can’t stay a solid unless it is at or below o degrees centigrade. We say that the water freezes at that temperature.
Why does friction speed up the melting process? What kind of energy is made when surfaces rub together?
    Remember. Energy makes things happen!
