What a fun packed day we had.  Upon arriving at Goat Island we had our brain break and then we turned into scientists.  Using our square metre, we prodded and poked to discover what was in the sand and rock pools.  With lots of squeals and laughter as the waves came crashing in  seaweed, crabs, worms and other creepy crawlies were discovered.  Thank you Mr Clapham for handling a purple crab and allowing it to give you a pinch.

After a small break for morning tea we then went to the Discovery Centre to learn about what happens at Goat Island Marine Reserve…… Wow have you ever seen a close up shot of a kina, starfish or hermit crab…..and then the experience of holding the sea creatures.

We are now going  back to school to study some of the creatures we saw and learnt about.
