One sunny afternoon my Mum and I were at Port Albert. There was a steep, steep hill. We started to creep down the hill, trying not to scare away the nearby horses.
Then I looked up and saw a gigantic, thick tree. I was so tempted to climb it. And so I did. As I climbed, I got higher and higher. Suddenly I found I had to stop because I was at the tippy-top of the tall, thick tree. But in that one second, my foot slipped and I fell.
I made a sudden, big SMACK against the ground.
It was just blackness all around me. When after a few seconds I could see again, I still couldn’t breathe. I lay there, just feeling glad I that I was still alive. But then I realized that my arm was in pain. “I think I broke my arm,” I said to myself.
That afternoon Mum took me to the doctor and next thing I knew I was lying in bed with my cast on. And that’s now I broke my arm.
