We have been using our observation skills to see how different materials interact with each other. We shook pepper onto a plate of water and noticed that the pepper floats evenly on top of the water. When we introduced a drop of detergent using a meat skewer, the pepper moved quickly to the edge of the plate.

Science is such fun! The teachers had fun doing this, too. When I was in your classroom I saw how well you were using your Science Journals.
Every time I do this investigation I SNEEZE. Did anybody sneeze when you were trying it out. Does anybody know why pepper makes us sneeze? Let me know if you find the answer.
