Today we visited the New World Supermarket to carry out our new skills of label reading. We looked for foods that are good to eat every day and food that we should only eat sometimes. The foods we should eat every day have less than 10 g of sugar, less than 400 mg of salt, less than 10 g of fat, and more than 5 g of fibre per 100 g serving. We discovered that most muesli bars and most cereals are foods that we should only eat occasionally. We also interviewed some customers to see what they know about reading labels. Many thanks to our parents who provided transport and helped us with our tasks.
