Daniel Middleton, better known as DanTDM, is a youtuber from England.
Dan began his career in 2010 while at university by posting videos dedicated to Pokémon.
In 2012, he created a gaming channel called The Diamond Minecart and changed his YouTube name to TheDiamondMinecart//DanTDM. On 12 December 2016, he changed his name to just DanTDM.
Dan reached youtube fame by making and uploading videos of himself playing Minecraft and doing mod reviews.
In 2017, he was the world’s highest paid YouTuber, earning $16.5 million in one year.
To date, Dan has 18.4 million subscribers on YouTube, and has had 12.4 billion total views.
Dan lives in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, England with his wife Jemma and his three pugs.
In 2016, Dan also became an author when his graphic novel Trayaurus and the Enchanted Crystal was published by HarperCollins in the US and Trapeze (Orion) in the UK.
The book is about DanTDM and characters who have been in his videos for years such as Trayaurus.
He has achieved a Guinness World Record for “Most views for a dedicated Minecraft video channel” and for “Most goals scored in a game of Rocket League for a team of 2) and “Most goals scored in a game of Rocket League (team of three).”
He won the Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Award in the category UK Favourite Tipster in 2015 and 2016.
Dan Is known for his wacky hair.
